For our first Hump Day Record Club, I've opted for 'Contact Fix' by Alright the Captain.
The main reason for this is that it's something that will be quite outside of the usual music most of the Brethren might listen to.
A relatively short EP of around 20 mins over 2 sides, the instrumental math rock on offer is incredibly varied, tonally broad and thematically captivating.
Math rock isn't always for everybody, but 'Contact Fix' is so interesting it may well capture your attention as it did mine.

Originating from Nottingham (UK) they visited the studio for a session during their euro tour with Bear Makes Ninja.
Alright The Captain have established themselves as a sonic force to be reckoned with, thanks to their uniquely imaginative brand of math-rock.
